The Story
I painted this while sitting inside Union Station selling art at Made in KC as a vender. The day was going great, but I had some down time inbetween customers so I decided to paint this photo featuring the Blue Room on 18th and Vine. This is the FIRST painting where I did an evening time sky. 18th and Vine has such a rich history of Jazz and African American culture. If your only visiting Kansas City for a short time, 18th & Vine needs to be on your bucket list! Visit one of the many Jazz Clubs to enjoy some live music! My wife and I love the Blue Room.
The Details:
This painting was done on 8×8 handmade watercolor paper which is 100% cotton. Acid Free - 140lbs (300gsm). 100% Recycle Paper from India by Shizen Design.
Watercolor Paint used was Professional Winsor & Newton Pan Watercolor Paint.
Black 2 & 5 Micron Pen.
It has been installed with a 12×12 matte in a 12×12 black modern frame with a glass front.
The painting also comes with a signed certificate of authenticity
