Theo's First Kansas City Watercolor Original

$900.00

The Story
In fall of 2024 I was discouraged with my art career. I was known mainly for palette knife oil paintings. I had sold many oil painting pieces, but they were expensive to produce and VERY time consuming. I wanted to try a different medium that wouldn’t take so long to create. So I decided to break out my old watercolor paints and buy a new watercolor book. I had first used watercolor back in 2014 and kept up with it for about 2 years, but then life happened and I stopped.

This painting was the very first time I touched watercolor in nearly a decade. I thought painting the iconic shuttlecock at the Nelson Atkins would but a fun and simple practice painting. I’ve sold hundreds of prints of it as of today! I adore this painting as a new beginning for me. You can see the messy nature of getting back into the swing of watercolor (which is hard to control when you are out of practice).

If you want something iconic from my collection - this one is a worthy top 5!
